On September 30, 2022 individuals will come together in Providence RI, for a night of fine dining and dancing at the 2022 Southern New England Heart Ball. Their goal – to raise funds for the American Heart Association (AHA)

Founded in 1924, the American Heart Association is dedicated to fighting heart disease and strokes by investing in research and programs for education and prevention. A cause that is very dear to CEO Mikko Passananti. Mr. Passananti explains, “Both of my maternal grandparents died at different stages of life from heart disease. My grandfather in 1980 and my grandmother in 2001. Further, in 2012 my nephew was born with Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome”.

So when his good friend, Donald Zambarano, approached him about joining the AHA’s Heart Ball executive leadership team, he enthusiastically said yes. Past philanthropy had been mostly monetary; now he gets to help lead the charge in making an impact through time and talents to ensure that the Southern New England Heart Ball is a success.
